OWH MidWeek Throwdown

Operation Write Home’s Midweek Throwdown is BIRTHDAY!🎉 Yay! My birthday is this Saturday! Yep, I am a Ground Hog’s Baby! I am getting old but I still love the day because I get to celebrate it with my twinsie! Yep! There are two of Me!!! Ha!!
I colored up little Ellie from Saturated Canary. The printer printed this image so light tonight. And that was after my paper got jammed! Maybe, I will get a new printer for my birthday! (Wink-wink)

I colored her in a soft kind of way because the lines were not dark.
I used Copic markers:
Skin-E50, 51 (I lost my E53 marker 😞 Maybe I’ll get another one for my b-day) ahem!
Other-B00,G12, RV00 E31,33
The paper is from Colorbok Confetti and the little arrows are from Smash K&Company. Cute, uh?
Happy Midweek Throwdown, my friends!

#151 Thinkin’ Pink

Sassy Cheryl’s Challenge #151–Thinkin’ Pink…. The weather in our area is definitely FICKLE! For this challenge, the theme is all about pink.

I colored up Little Miss Sunshine Sally. Gosh! I just love this little girl! She is so cute!
Using Copic markers I colored her using the following:
Other-YR04, Y02,R20
The paper is from Colorbok titled Confetti. No, I didn’t spell it wrong. That’s the way it is spelled.

I added some little pink rhinestones from Recollections. And there she be. All pink. And sunshiny! I miss the sunshine!
The weather is turning fickle again. It’s pouring down rain right now with a possibility of thunderstorms. Thunderstorms?!? In February! Then, by morning it will be snow! Geez, poor Mother Nature! Have a great Thursday!

Have a Heart

Loves RubberStamps Challenge 37–Have a Heart theme challenge is occurring right now. To participate, you simply have to have a ❤heart❤ somewhere on your project. ❤So, I used this challenge theme to make a Valentine’s card for AJ’s first grade teacher.
I colored up Some Odd Girl’s digi stamp called Cupid Mae. She was so fun to color up. I tried coloring her hair in a new way. I wanted it to be reddish. Coloring is a stress reliever for me. I enjoy it. I think her hair turned out ok. Not bad for learning to color by watching YouTube videos. And I did take a Basic Copic coloring class through some Odd Girl’s Kristy Dalman.
Tonight, I also colored up my twin sister’s birthday card. She may be the only one who reads my blog, so I can’t share it yet! I will. On Saturday or Sunday. Mom is making us birthday dinner and of course, cake and ice cream! Yum! I am going to be 36! Yikes!

Hearts–RV colors
I used Ranger Stickles on her little Cupid wings.

Have a Happy Wednesday!

OWH Sketch Challenge 157

It’s Sunday! And it’s my second Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #157.

I am trying! Really, I am. But when there is a sketch challenge involving circles, count me out! I do have a cool circle cutter thingamagiggy but all be darned if I can cut with it!! The last time I attempted to use it…I cut right through the skirt I was wearing! Laugh. It was funny! I did. And I was just lucky I was by myself when it happened. It was my favorite skirt, too! I kid you not! Honestly, I couldn’t make this stuff up even if I tried! Sketches are like driving with my husband and trying to read a map. My brain just doesn’t follow. Okay. Here is my version of the sketch challenge.

I colored up Dandelion Fairy from Some Odd Girl. There is a story as to why I really like dandelions. It’s a long and sweet story! Maybe I’ll share another time.
I colored her with Copic markers.

Hair-YR12, E97, E99 (*this color combo was suppose to be YR21 but I read the numbers upside down and accidentally used YR12…oops!)

Skin-E000, 00, 11, 04
Wings-BG70, 72
The paper is from K&Company.

And there you have it. My attempt at another Sunday Sketch challenge!

Card Makin Mamas current challenge asks you to put away all the bells, whistles, and frills. Keep it clean and simple! I can do that! That’s my style! Besides, I send a lot of cards to APOs and they have to be able to fit into the envelopes. No flowers, ribbons or bows because then they don’t fit. And…no glitter! Glitter can be dangerous to soldiers. So, plain and simple it is then. The way I like it!
I colored up the just newly released digi image from Tiddly Inks. Emma and Jake

I used the following Copic markers to color these cuties:
Skin-E000, 21, 11
Jake’s hair- E31, 33
Emma’s hair-Y21,YR12, 14, E15, 18
Other-RV63, 65, C1,3,5,7

The paper is from Recollections Signature Collection MyFavorite Things.

I am also going to enter this card in The Squirrel and the Fox’s Challenge #36–Something New.

OWH Midweek Throwdown

Operation Write Home’s Midweek Throwdown had to be Easter! I have nothing Easter! I just started making cards this past summer so, I have been purchasing the holidays as they approach! (I can’t believe I made an Easter card today when it was a whopping 5 degrees outside! I would not dare stick my tongue on a lamp post today! Not that I do that…ever. Okay, maybe once. But…it was a dare!
I went online and purchased a Saturated Canary digi image called Murray.
I colored her up with Copic markers.
There are too many to type. I took a picture. The trick with this picture was trying to take it really fast as my youngest son was in a fiesty mood and kept trying to get his hand in the photo!

7 pictures! And…I finally got one without the stinkers hand in it!!! I took care of him…I dared him to go stick his tongue on the doorbell! I AM KIDDING!!!! I didn’t do that! But I did entertain that thought for a brief moment!

Here is Murrary with a little chick for Easter. I am afraid I have not one Easter sentiment. I know. I added it to the list.

20130123-190057.jpg I used chalk to make the clouds and fill in the grass. It is definitely CAS!
In closing, I received an email from one of my 3 adopted soldiers today. This is what he wrote: “Thank you very much for the notes you’ve been sending me as well as your
concern. It’s nice to know that the people back in the United States
appreciate what we are doing over here.” Sweet, uh?

Tiddly Inks Challenge #102

Tiddly Inks Challenge #102 is WINGS! The creation must have wings. I colored up Fairy Fae Catches a Star. I used my copic markers.
Hair-E 31,33,37
Dress-R00, 01,02
The paper is from K&Company BW Mira Designer Mat Pad (4×6). I added a star and a little swirly thingy. Also, I put some Ranger Sticklez on the stars in her hair and some to accent her wings.

Yep. There she is. Catching a star. And I need to get to bed and catch some Zzzzz…..
