Sunday Sketch

It’s Sunday again! Wowzers, the weekend just flew right by! Here is Operation Write Home’s Sketch #170:

Oh what fun! I have been dying to color up this Kraftin’ Kimmie rubber stamp image. She is called: Miss Information
I am absolutely in love with Kraftin Kimmie’s stamps. I think I may have spent too much on purchasing rubber stamps! I usually try to buy one here and there. By doing this, I can stay “under the radar” and my husband doesn’t get “alerted” to how much I buy for this hobby of mine. Ha!
Here is my take of the sketch:

See? Isn’t she so cute? I love it! I actually bought this to make my kids’ end of the school year teacher gifts.
Miss Information was easy to color up. I used the following colors:
Outfit-R35, 38 B63,66

The sentiment reads: “You make the grade.” The set comes with two sentiments. The other one read: “You deserve an A+.”

Okay, that is my Sunday Sketch! As always, I am off to grocery shop! Ugh! I have been under the weather all week. Allergies. I think. So, I have been walking around with medicine head. That Benadryl sure does knock me out! I hope you all have a great week!!!!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge #175 is Tic-Tac-Toe!

This is the first time I am entering into a Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge. I just ordered and received 5 new rubber stamps…and I think I am in love! When I saw Anne of Green Gables sitting on her suitcases waiting for Matthew Cuthbert to come and pick her up from the train station. I knew I had to order her!

I chose to use blue/gems/dies for my tic-tac-toe creation.
Here is my take:

I used Copic markers to color up Anne.
Dress-B93, 95, 99
Other-Y21, E31,33
The die tag is from Stampin’Up.
Oh! That Anne of Green Gables! I have read all the books(more than once) and still watch the DVD collection set. I must be a nerd! Anne is one of my all time favorite characters in literature. And that sentiment perfectly describes Anne and her relationship with her bosom buddy Diana.

And let’s not forget my all time favorite part…when Anne cracks Gilbert over the head with her slate because he was teasing her.

I think he was in love with her from the first time he saw her!!!

Well, there it is…my first link up to a Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge. I am hoping to join in each time!

Challenge for Send A Smile 4Kids is a Birthday one! I love Birthdays! We have two birthdays to celebrate this coming week! My husband and my son! Both the George-s born on the same day!
Here is my entry card:

I colored up an oldie but goodie from Sassy Cheryl’s.
I used Copic markers and the paper is from My Mind’s Eye.
Hair-E53, 57, 49
Outfit-Y13,18, YG03,06,09

As mentioned in my previous post, I am really trying to practice coloring pleats and folds. Well, practice will someday make me better. I hope anyways. We are off to Pittsburgh tomorrow. It will be a long day!
Have a happy Monday, my friends!

Sunday Sketch

It’s Sunday! Yay day!!! And it’s Operation Write Home’s Sunday Sketch challenge #169. Here is the sketch:

Here is my take:

I have been really practicing my coloring of pleats and folds this past week. Eh, I’ll continue practicing. My blue Copic actually ran out as I was coloring. Of course it did! (Sarcasm!) Anyways, I used this sweet image from Tiddly Inks. It’s the lovely Wryn.

I used Copic markers in the following colors:
The sentiment stamp reads: You make me happy
The paper is from My Mind’s Eye. And the little silver embellishments came from my old Christmas tree decorations that fell apart! Ha!

Also, I have been working on my card creation for Some Odd Girl’s Odd Idol competition going on in their Ning community right now. It sounds like great fun. Well, it should be fun…it is suppose to be fun. BUT…I stressed about it all day Saturday. But here is a pic of what I submitted:

If you get a chance…go check it out!
Well, we are now officially in full swing of baseball season! The good thing about baseball is that I can sit in the outfield and color and no one ever knows that I am not paying attention to the game! Shhhh….don’t tell no one!
Have a great week, my friends.

OWH Sunday Sketch

Operation Write Home Sunday Sketch #168 looks like this:

Here is my take:

This isn’t my style…did you notice? No fussy cutting of any image?!?! As one of my students call them my paper dolls! Ha! I was tempted to fussy cut and place an image on there somewhere. But I resisted temptation.

I used paper from MME and the sentiment stamp is one I purchased for a dollar at Walmart. I think. Well, today’s chore is to spring clean the bathroom and put up my newly purchased owl shower curtain. This is while all the boys get to go to a Curve baseball game. How is that even remotely fair? Truth be told, I’d rather clean than sit at a baseball game.
Last night the students put on Beauty &the Beast. I was fortunate to attend and watch some former students perform in the production. I made these treat boxes for them.

And I think they liked them!!
Happy Sunday, my friends!!!

Mid-Week Throwdown

This Wednesday, the midweek Throwdown challenge is:Your Favorite Color Combo!
I like shades of gray mostly but my other fave combo is blue and yellow. Blue clouds and sunny skies…how can you go wrong with that?!? I colored up Bicycle Kaylee from Some Odd Girl.
Here is my card:20130410-203052.jpg
It was almost 80 degrees today! I panicked when the fire alarm went off during state testing and during parent teacher conferences a few of my male coworkers thought it would be funny to make my phone ring and watch me sprint from the hallway to my classroom all night long. Yeah, I eventually caught on after about the 20th run! Crazy co-workers!
Anyways, tomorrow is a new day and here is my image all colored up with Copic markers using the following colors:

Other:B93,95 and Y13,18, R14
I embossed the clouds and added the embellishments from me &my big ideas.
And there is my OWH Midweek
Throwdown. Have a great one, my friends.

SOG April Sketch

Some Odd Girl’s April Sketch challenge:

I colored up Geeky Mae to use with my April sketch. I love Mae. Here is my take of the sketch:

I moved things around. A lot! And this is what I ended up with! He-he! Not at all what I started with. The hello embellishment is from a small pack I found at Target of all places!
I colored sweet and Geeky Mae using Copic markers in the following colors:
Other-RV00,02, C1,3,5, B00,01,02
The paper is from a 6×6 pad-MME. I added a few pink gem embellishments from Recollections.
Well, I am off to school! State testing starts this week! But the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen… Let the countdown to summer commence! Have a great one, my friends!
