Sunday Sketch

It’s Sunday! Yay day!!! And it’s Operation Write Home’s Sunday Sketch challenge #169. Here is the sketch:

Here is my take:

I have been really practicing my coloring of pleats and folds this past week. Eh, I’ll continue practicing. My blue Copic actually ran out as I was coloring. Of course it did! (Sarcasm!) Anyways, I used this sweet image from Tiddly Inks. It’s the lovely Wryn.

I used Copic markers in the following colors:
The sentiment stamp reads: You make me happy
The paper is from My Mind’s Eye. And the little silver embellishments came from my old Christmas tree decorations that fell apart! Ha!

Also, I have been working on my card creation for Some Odd Girl’s Odd Idol competition going on in their Ning community right now. It sounds like great fun. Well, it should be fun…it is suppose to be fun. BUT…I stressed about it all day Saturday. But here is a pic of what I submitted:

If you get a chance…go check it out!
Well, we are now officially in full swing of baseball season! The good thing about baseball is that I can sit in the outfield and color and no one ever knows that I am not paying attention to the game! Shhhh….don’t tell no one!
Have a great week, my friends.

    Need I say more? ;))

  2. I love both cards- your coloring is fabulous- I think your pleats and hair are wonderful! And I love that you re-purposed something from Christmas! Awww- i could never color at a game- sometimes they are too exciting! I know- sometimes they drag on— great concentration that you can color at a game! And good luck regarding the Odd Idol- does sound like fun!

  3. These are two absolutely adorable cards. Love both Tiddly Inks and Some Odd Girl images, and your coloring is terrific. Great take on this week’s sketch. Thanks for playing!

  4. Both cards are wonderful! I just cannot seem to get the coloring thing to work for me. One of these days, when the kids are grown and I actually have time, I’m determined to work on it earnestly. Your coloring is fabulous!
