SOG May Sketch Challenge

Some Odd Girl’s May Sketch challenge looks like this:

Here is my take:

I colored up Sway Mae. Isn’t she lovely? I love that Mae!
Hope you are all having a great week, my friends!

Sunday Sketch

Operation Write Home’s Sunday Sketch Challenge 172 looks like this:

Here is my take:

Oh, you knew I had to fussy cut?! Of course! I am obsessed with fussy cutting! And you probably figured that I was going to use a SOG digi stamp?! Well, you know me too well!
I colored up Some Odd Girl’s Squeezey Hugs.
I used Copic markers to color this cute couple.
Skin -E50,51,53
Mae’s Hair-E53,55
Boy’s Hair-E44,47
Other-R35,38, C1,3,5

The circle sentiment comes from a rubber stamp heart that reads hugs inside.

Nothing fancy. Round 2 of Odd Idol voting is still happening here. If you have time, stop over and vote!
Finally, HAPPY MOTHER’s DAY!!!!! You would think that one of my 5 lovely children would have served me breakfast in bed. But….no! No breakfast in bed. I’m not bitter. Really, I’m not. Regardless, of my brood have a great one!

Banner Challenge

Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge #177 is: It’s a Banner Day! I colored up Pippa Popcorn.

I used Copic markers to color her up using the following colors:

Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps are quickly becoming my favorites! The popcorn was so fun to color up and the popcorn bags came from Michael’s.

The banner sentiment reads: You always pop up when I need you.
How cool is that sentiment?
We had one heck of thunderstorm blow through here tonight! Hail and trees knocked down. Flooding streets that forced me turn around and find an alternate route home. Not fun. So, I am a little behind in my cardmaking and posting.
Have a great weekend, my friends!!

Sketch Day

Is it me or does it seem like Sunday comes around so quickly lately? I can never seem to fit everything I have to do in one day. Also, I took the month of May write an Any Hero letter everyday challenge. Whew! So far so good!

Nevertheless, today is Sunday and that means Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #171
Here is the Sketch:

Here is my take:

I colored up Lily Lemon. She comes from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.
I colored up using the following Copic marker colors:
Other-G40,43, Y13,18
The sentiment reads: “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade!”

20130505-104726.jpg I must be weird because I do not like lemonade!
The paper is from My Mind’s Eye. The little lemon embellishment is from Recollections.
I like the green and yellow color combo. It makes Lily’s pink dress stand out.
There is my take for Sunday’s sketch.
On another note: Remember my Some Odd Girl Odd Idol challenge:

The one I stressed over?! Well, the competition is getting h-o-t! First round took 68 submissions down to the Top 20…and guess who made it to the Top 20?! Oh yeeeaaahh! This girl! Round 2 starts soon. I already created my friendship theme inspired card. But I can’t share it because it is blind voting. Round 2 will take 20 contestants down to 15. How exciting! If you get a chance pop on over and vote!!!!

Have a great Sunday, my friends!

Mid-Week Throwdown

It’s Wednesday! Whew! And only 24 more days of school left to summer vacay!!

Operation Write Home’s Mid-Week Throwdown is Thank you.
I colored up Tiddly Ink’s Lilli Claire Bouquet. I will self confess that I am totally addicted to digital stamps and rubber stamps! I need a 12 step program to break me of my habit!
Here is my thank you card:

I colored Little Lilli with Copic markers using the following colors:
Hair-Y21,YR23, E18
Other-RV93,95, E31,33,37
The sentiment is of course, “Thank you”.

It is so beautiful here tonight. The first of May and the weather is just perfect! I sat in the fresh air coloring to my heart’s content! I messed up Lilli’s hair…oops. But maybe no one will notice! Ya think? And…as mentioned in previous posts, I continue to practice coloring pleats. What do you think? Too dark??
I hope you are all having a great week my friends!

Sunday Sketch

It’s Sunday again! Wowzers, the weekend just flew right by! Here is Operation Write Home’s Sketch #170:

Oh what fun! I have been dying to color up this Kraftin’ Kimmie rubber stamp image. She is called: Miss Information
I am absolutely in love with Kraftin Kimmie’s stamps. I think I may have spent too much on purchasing rubber stamps! I usually try to buy one here and there. By doing this, I can stay “under the radar” and my husband doesn’t get “alerted” to how much I buy for this hobby of mine. Ha!
Here is my take of the sketch:

See? Isn’t she so cute? I love it! I actually bought this to make my kids’ end of the school year teacher gifts.
Miss Information was easy to color up. I used the following colors:
Outfit-R35, 38 B63,66

The sentiment reads: “You make the grade.” The set comes with two sentiments. The other one read: “You deserve an A+.”

Okay, that is my Sunday Sketch! As always, I am off to grocery shop! Ugh! I have been under the weather all week. Allergies. I think. So, I have been walking around with medicine head. That Benadryl sure does knock me out! I hope you all have a great week!!!!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge #175 is Tic-Tac-Toe!

This is the first time I am entering into a Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge. I just ordered and received 5 new rubber stamps…and I think I am in love! When I saw Anne of Green Gables sitting on her suitcases waiting for Matthew Cuthbert to come and pick her up from the train station. I knew I had to order her!

I chose to use blue/gems/dies for my tic-tac-toe creation.
Here is my take:

I used Copic markers to color up Anne.
Dress-B93, 95, 99
Other-Y21, E31,33
The die tag is from Stampin’Up.
Oh! That Anne of Green Gables! I have read all the books(more than once) and still watch the DVD collection set. I must be a nerd! Anne is one of my all time favorite characters in literature. And that sentiment perfectly describes Anne and her relationship with her bosom buddy Diana.

And let’s not forget my all time favorite part…when Anne cracks Gilbert over the head with her slate because he was teasing her.

I think he was in love with her from the first time he saw her!!!

Well, there it is…my first link up to a Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge. I am hoping to join in each time!
