Perfectly Pinkalicious! & DT call

Sassy Cheryl’s newest challenge #169 is Perfectly Pinkalicious! I just love that Sally, don’t you?!?
For this challenge, I colored up A Letter Sent with Love.

I used Copic markers in the following colors:
Hair-E55, 44
The sentiment is a rubber stamp and it reads: Snail Mail. I used the Cuttlebug to cut out the circles and it is distressed with Tim Holtz Ink Pads Spun Sugar. The paper comes from My Mind’s Eye {Love Me}. The sentiment is perfect because Sally is holding her cute little envelope sealed with a kiss. Don’t you wonder who she is mailing that letter to? A long distance love perhaps? How romantic…I am sending this card off to one of my former students who is now stationed with the army in Germany.

Sassy Cheryl is having a DT call! I am absolutely positive that I meet all the requirements! Let’s see…
1. Must LOVE Sassy Cheryl images!–Uh. Hello?! I most certainly do!
2. Must be a positive role model and team player. –My principal says and I quote: “Boots (that’s me!), you are such a team player. You never say no and you always do what I ask of you. ”
Why yes. Yes, I do!
See,I am perfect for the job! And I’m not below begging on my knees! Ppppppllllllleeeeaaaaassssseeeeee!
If you search my site using the words Sassy Cheryl you can view some of my other cards I have made. And I included a few at the end of this post.

That’s it for now. I am off to finish my end of the year paper work and my summer vacation officially starts at 3:00 this afternoon!!! Woo-hoo!
Well, at least until summer school starts on Monday….remember the above mentioned
principal I can’t say no to?!?
Yeah. That.
Have a great pinkalicious day, my friends! PS…I am on Instagram. My user name is @mrsboots. Look me up.

SOG April Sketch

Some Odd Girl’s April Sketch challenge:

I colored up Geeky Mae to use with my April sketch. I love Mae. Here is my take of the sketch:

I moved things around. A lot! And this is what I ended up with! He-he! Not at all what I started with. The hello embellishment is from a small pack I found at Target of all places!
I colored sweet and Geeky Mae using Copic markers in the following colors:
Other-RV00,02, C1,3,5, B00,01,02
The paper is from a 6×6 pad-MME. I added a few pink gem embellishments from Recollections.
Well, I am off to school! State testing starts this week! But the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen… Let the countdown to summer commence! Have a great one, my friends!

SAS4K Anything Goes

Send a Smile 4 Kids’ new challenge is Anything Goes
I used Some Odd Girl’s digi image Alice Mae.

Colored her up using Copic Markers:
Hair: E44,47
Tights/shoes: C1,3,5,7
Dress: BG45, 49
I used paper from My Mind’s Eye and the ribbon is a small roll from Recollections. The tag sentiment reads: Happy Thoughts.

I thought that I had already posted for this challenge but apparently my mind is going wonky. I have been in a little creative card making slump lately. I am convinced it is this darn snowy winter weather! More snow is headed our way! Great! (*sarcasm*)
One last thought: My 9 year wrestled this weekend for a state title. He fell short but not because of a lack of trying. He is and always will be my champion!

Happy Saturday, my friends!

Green. White. Orange.

Sassy Cheryl’s new challenge #157 is green, white, and orange.
This is my card:

I believe this image is Charlie’s Funky Dance. But I can’t find it on the site to link it up.
I colored this image using Copic markers and used a sentiment from a Hero Arts clear stamp.

I corner punched the two corners and added a few green gem stones. Very St. Patrick’s looking. This is usually the weekend I go away to Seven Springs each year. But this year, I decided not to go. I am kind of bummed thinking about the festive time I am missing out on. It is snowing here and I’m still lounging in my pajamas. So, I guess that works, too!
Happy St. Patrick’s, my friends!

Mid-Week Throwdown.

Operation Write Home’s Mid-Week Throwdown is a color challenge. The colors are blue and green.
Here is my take:

I used this sweet image from Time for Tea Designs. This is the website:
This digi image is Easter Chick.

The paper is from K&Company. And the clear stamp sentiment is from Hero Arts. I added some hemp rope.

I know. It is a mid-week Throwdown posted a day late. But I guess it’s better late than never.
Have a good one, my friends!

Simply Challenged Challenges current theme is “FRAMES”. Any kind of frame, looks like a frame, an actual frame.. all up to you use a SBS image and join in for some fun.
I colored up Beauty Spa Rio digi.
Here is my framed entry card:

I kept it kind if simple because I am thinking about using it as a birthday card for a college friend. Not quite sure yet.

It is snowing here tonight. I am hoping that we do not get any delays. We have state testing going on and that has really pooped me out! I am off to take a nice long hot hot shower and wrap myself in my fluffy bath robe and call it a night!
Happy Wednesday, my friends!

Green Inspiration

Card Makin’ Mama’s new challenge is Green Inspiration. This can be interpreted many different ways and with it being the month of March, most would associate leprechauns and shamrocks. I, however, did not. I went with witches! Are you a good witch? Or a bad witch?

The image is from Simply Betty Stamps. And… this particular image was a freebie offered on her Simply B Stamps Fan Facebook page. It was offered to commerate 500 members. I am afraid it’s not free anymore. It was only available to members of the Facebook page. Go join Simply B Stamps Fan page. When she reaches 600, there will be another free digi offer. If you like this image, you can still purchase it. Go check it out here.
I love her stamps!!! They are so quirky.

The sentiment came with the stamp. It reads, “Don’t let anyone burst your bubble. “
If you have read any of my previous blogs, you would have seen that I am on a Wicked/Wizard of Oz kick and so when I saw this stamp, I did a little dance!!! It is perfect for my Smashbook pages.

So, there it is…my entry for this week’s Card Making Mama’s Green Inspiration challenge! Be good, my pretties.
I am also going to enter this card entry over at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Week #43.
