Tiddly Inks

Tiddly Inks new challenge #105 is Clean and Simple. And although this is a challenge for some, I would say my style is clean and simple. I prefer everything plain and simple. I would describe myself as symmetrical. I like things to line up and be in an order. I don’t know why. My brain just works that way. Kinda like I have to have lines to write. My sentences can not go down hill or I have to start all over. Big fancy fonts and sizes drive me insane! Kitchen cupboards and my pantry closet must be stocked so that the writing on the cereal boxes are lined up in alphabetical order and that the writing all goes in the same direction! See? A little obsessive? Now, try living with 5 kids…they know every little quirk of mine to drive my obsession into overdrive!
Here is my card for this weeks CAS challenge:

I used Catgirl.
I bought this image a while ago to use for my daughter because she loves cats. Catgirl reminds me of my daughter because there is always a cat in her arms or at her heel.

We are expecting a foot of snow tonight in this winter storm they are dubbing the beast of the east. My husband is confident that we are not going to get anything. However, I am convinced that school will be cancelled and I am prepared to color and make cards by candlelight if the power should happen to go out.
We shall see who is right….

CAS Cards for Kids Challenge

Send a Smile 4Kids current challenge is CAS–Clean & Simple. My style. My preference. I like my cards CAS…uncomplicated and free of layers and embellishments. Sometimes, I get the impression that CAS holds a negative connotation. But my CAS cards are still made with care and love for the recipients. My card was inspired by this quote:

I am not a big booty shaker, but I do like to listen to music loudly on my iPod and tap my toe to the beat. I’ve been know to crank up the music and dance when I think no one is watching (usually when I am running the vacuum).
It makes me feel better when I am feeling down. And…even if I am not feeling low, I love music. I don’t really have a preference. I like it all. Oldies, pop, country, classical, rap… You name it..I more than likely have that genre on my playlist.
So, I colored up this sweet clear rubber stamp from Some Odd Girl-Dancing Mae. I think Mae has to be one of my most beloved characters!!! So far, this is my absolute favorite stamp.

I used my Copic markers to color this toe tapping cutie.

Hair-E42,44

I used my EK circle cutter and circle Nestabilities to create the CAS layout. The sentiment came with the clear stamp. The paper is from My Mind’s Eye.

And I think this says it all…

CAS

Card Makin Mamas current challenge asks you to put away all the bells, whistles, and frills. Keep it clean and simple! I can do that! That’s my style! Besides, I send a lot of cards to APOs and they have to be able to fit into the envelopes. No flowers, ribbons or bows because then they don’t fit. And…no glitter! Glitter can be dangerous to soldiers. So, plain and simple it is then. The way I like it!
I colored up the just newly released digi image from Tiddly Inks. Emma and Jake
