It’s a hair raising challenge over in the Some Odd Girl community site.
I colored up Shy Kaylee and oh, what fun it was to color her hair bluish-green.
I colored Kaylee up with Copic markers using the following colors:
The sentiment is a rubber stamp that reads: Like Crazy. This sentiment is appropriate because anyone who has blue hair as a little bit of craziness! To each their own! I had several students this year that paid big bucks to get their hair colored.
I am off to enjoy my Saturday! Have a hair-raising weekend, my friends!
PS…don’t forget to stop over and vote. Odd Idol continues and the Top 10 will be whittled down to just 5! My scene is in there! Now, I just sit back and wait for the results!
Another monthly sketch is ready over at Some Odd Girl. Honestly, I think….okay, I know that I spend a lot of my time hanging out in SOG’s Ning community site. But it’s just so fun to look at all the other creations that others come up with. That is what is so neat about sketches, too. One sketch and every one’s interpretation and outcome is completely different but related. You can see the element of the sketch but the materials, coloring, and embellishments are all completely different. It’s even cool to see what each individual picks to use for their image.
Here is the sketch:
Here is my crafty interpretation of the sketch:
I used Shy Mae.
I colored her up using Copic markers in the following colors:
I used this pretty red gingham ribbon and a pushpin with a butterfly charm. Hobby Lobby has a whole wall of these adorable charms. I went looking for a particular charm for a birthday card I want to make for one of my dearest college friends. I walked away with a whole basket full.
The vellum butterfly represents the sunburst on the sketch. The sentiment reads: Count the happies💙. I bought several sentiment stamps yesterday and this one is quickly becoming my favorite.
Has anyone else noticed that all my cards have been so springy and summery? I can’t wait for warm sunshine! I am craving a nice sunburn…and nicely painted toe nails and flip-flops. Ahhhhh! As of right now, I am definitely stuck inside with the winter blahs! Hope you are all faring much better than me, my friends.
I have been so busy with late nights working, grading papers, lesson plans….So, not much time to go to my corner. But…I have been working on a few things. I just finished my first witch that is my current work in progress. I am attempting to create a layout of a variety of witches that I have accumulated from all my favorite digi sites. Witchy Mae from Some odd Girl is the first of many.
And SOG Oddie, Tracy presented this Treat Box tutorial. You can check it out here.
Here is my take:
I usedTracy’s tutorial, which did a great of job of providing step by step directions to follow. I colored up Kody with Flowers.
That’s what I have been working on. One more day before the weekend begins! My kiddies all have Friday off. I have to work! Hope you All have a super-duper weekend!
Have you checked out Some Odd Girl’s new Community sight? It’s great! Just us Oddie’s hanging out in the neighborhood! Sharing our creations and adding threads to the discussion forums. Here is the link:
Just for fun, the challenge proposed was to create a tag. And…since school was dismissed early today because of the ice accumulation, I was able to play in my craft corner.
That’s right! I have a corner…where most have a room, I have an itty bitty corner.
Oh, I am not whining! I am just grateful to have a corner.
Here is my SOG tag creation:
Have a great weekend! Maybe I’ll see you soon in the community!
